| 布利斯（1891—1975），曾是第一次世界大战后英国最激进的作曲家，接近斯特拉文斯基和法国先锋派的风格，虽然他的管弦乐代表作《颜色交响 曲》是更多遵循英国传统的。舞剧《将死》（作于 1937 年）也是布利斯的代 表性作品，剧中以着红装的一方和着黑装的另一方，在象棋的棋盘上展开一 场爱情与死亡的搏斗，结果红方被“将死”，爱情输给了死神。 沃尔顿（1902－1983）是三人中名气最大的，而《门面》又是沃尔顿的名气最大的作品。而且，同是这个《门面》，还有好几种演出形式，一是配 乐朗诵的《门面》（这种形式的还有《门面之二》），二是舞剧《门面》， 三是管弦乐的，原本分为第一组曲（五乐章）和第二组曲（六乐章）两套的， 亦即现在这张唱片上的被合并成 11 个章节的交响组曲《门面》。 曾经与沃尔顿齐名，被认为是本世纪上半叶英国乐坛一大希望的兰伯特（1905—1951）的主要成就是舞剧音乐，其中以《罗密欧与朱丽叶》和这部《星相》最受欢迎。 |
